My name is Kendra McFarland, and I am entering my sixth, and final, year at Ball State University. I am an anthropology major with minors in music theory and religious studies. My interest in religious studies lies primarily in Eastern religions. After completing classes with Dr. Roemer, I wanted to experience what I had been taught and joined the trip to Japan. Some of the experiences were expected, most were unexpected, and it was a unique opportunity to see the Japan I studied in reality.
